Abbondanza
Abbondanza is layered, vibrant and unapologetically detailed. Fruit, florals, wheat, vines and butterflies flow across a soft sky-blue ground, forming a generous perimeter composition with sweeping movement and colour variation.
The layout is symmetrical but expressive. Clusters of grapes, citrus and blossoms anchor the corners and centre sections, while golden wheat accents introduce rhythm and visual lift. The pale blue field keeps the piece light despite the density of detail.
This design leans into abundance. It doesn’t rely on heavy cobalt framing or strict geometry — the energy comes from the botanical layering and colour interplay.
Hand-painted on solid Mount Etna lava stone and kiln-fired at high temperature, the glaze permanently bonds to the volcanic substrate. The surface resists UV exposure, tolerates heat and maintains colour clarity under Australian outdoor conditions.
