Giardino Notturno
Giardino Notturno is rich, layered and expressive. Against a deep cobalt ground, lemons, hydrangea, geranium, pomegranate and sunflower unfold in a sweeping botanical composition that feels generous without being rigid.
Unlike structured border designs, this piece flows organically. The florals gather along one side and curve inward, creating movement while leaving the centre open and practical for dining. The contrast between saturated blue and soft botanical tones gives it depth and dimension.
The detailing is intricate but not ornamental in a classical sense — this is painterly rather than architectural. It feels abundant, natural and slightly dramatic.
Hand-painted on solid Mount Etna lava stone and kiln-fired at high temperature, the glaze permanently bonds to the volcanic substrate. The surface resists UV exposure, tolerates heat and maintains colour integrity under Australian outdoor conditions.
This design works particularly well in outdoor spaces where colour and texture are part of the overall landscape — gardens, courtyards and statement terraces.
